My dear friends,

      This is a brief report of our Punjab trip done last month.  James Jacob and I started our journey from ICBC campus to Punjab. Punjabis are lovely people and very gentle in nature. Our problem was only very few spoke English. It is one of the most fertile land in India. Farmers produce wheat, rice, cotton sugarcane etc. Area of Punjab- 8769 square miles and  population around 27.7 million. According to 2011 census Sikhism-60%, Hinduism-37%. Islam, Buddhism, Christianity and Jainism and other religions-3%. Sikh’s worship places Gurdwara is seen in almost everywhere.  We have felt religious tolerance in Punjab and the people respect each other considering like brothers and sisters. Housing in the villages are much better than in some other states. If we get an opportunity we might go to Punjab again. We would like to bring more young people and educate them in English
